JIMMY OHIO
BASIC BLACK

Basic Black was written and recorded in 2008 at a small Baptist church, deep in the heart of Detroit. A year after moving to Brooklyn, Jimmy Ohio flew back to the Motor City for a long weekend session with some old friends. The amazing acoustics of the church, combined with the endless supply of beer, created an inspired vibe that lasted four days. The EP was recorded in almost total seclusion at The First Church of the Holy Revelation of Rock and Roll.

Jimmy Ohio, formerly of The Ultimate Lovers and Misty, moved to Brooklyn in 2007 after spending eight years in Detroit.
